James L. Townsend, 67, of Hope Mills departed this life on Thursday, April 4, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at The Kenneth M. Purcell Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Center Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Red Springs. A wake will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at Purcell Funeral Home. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Service
