Edwin C. Edens, 72, of Hamlet departed this life on April 5, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Hamlet. Interment will follow at a later date in the Salisbury National Cemetery. A wake will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Purcell Funeral Home, Laurinburg. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
