Cleveland Howard Johnson was born on March 29, 1949 to the late Coleman C. Johnson and Sadie L. Bell Johnson. He received his wings and transition on October 30, 2018. He graduated from E.E. Smith Senior High School in 1968. He was employed at Fayetteville State University and transferred to work with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Cleveland became a member of Victory and Praise Ministry Church of Tarheel, North Carolina.
Cleveland leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Juanita Blackmon-Johnson; his children, Rodney Johnson of Hope Mills, NC, Ignacio Kirk of Raleigh, NC, and Christopher J. Nelson of the home; two sisters, Carmenthia Winston Jones of Hope Mills, NC, and Delores Nash of Raleigh, NC; three brothers, Coleman J. Johnson of Baltimore, MD, Larry D. Johnson of Fayetteville, NC, and Linwood Johnson of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren, Brittney, Bryanna, Milan, Remy, and Brooklyn; two great grands, KeNaria and Bega; aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
