Wayne McLeod 66, of Wagram, departed this life on Friday, September 22, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023, at The Kenneth M. Purcell Memorial Chapel, Laurinburg. Interment will follow in the Leach Family Cemetery, Marston, NC. A viewing and visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Purcell Funeral Home, Laurinburg. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Wayne McLeod was born on July 23, 1957, in Scotland County, NC. He was the son of Frances L. McLeod and the grandson of the late Johnnie and Anna McLeod.
Wayne went to see his Father in heaven on September 22, 2023, he fought so hard for his life in Christ. God called him home for his final resting place. Wayne will be remembered but not forgotten by all that loved him.
Wayne attended school at Shaw High School, and he went to Nashville Baptist Church where he was a member. He loved God and he loved his family and friends. Wayne worked at varies jobs and would do anything for you if he could that was Wayne at his best.
In addition to his mother, Frances L. McLeod, and grandparents, Johnnie and Anna McLeod; Wayne was preceded in death by his brother, James M. McLeod, aunt, Anna Ruth McLean and John McLeod his uncle.
Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Frances McQueen (Ernest) of Wagram, NC; brother, Alfred McLeod (Carolyn) of Laurinburg NC; one aunt, Helen Hughes of Marston, NC; a adopted family, Mary Monroe & family; special close niece Andrea Foxx (Tony); special cousin Alfred J. McLeod and Anthony McMillian (son of Alfred); Valerie Bethea (James), and Walter Jones; special friend, Ann Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Rest in peace we’re going to miss you, my brother.
