Obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of The Honorable Mayor Pastor George H. Purcell, of Wagram who departed this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A wake will be held Friday, February 17, 2023, from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Jubilee Christian Center of Wagram. A Visitation will also be held from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023, prior to the service. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Jubilee Chrisitan Center of Wagram with the Memo: George H. Purcell Educational Scholarship. Mailing Address: Center of Wagram 25020 Nazareth Church Rd. Wagram, NC 28396.
