Melvin Spruill, 79, of Laurinburg departed this life on January 7, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Purcell Funeral Home. A Viewing and visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Purcell Funeral Home. Interment will take place Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at The Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
