Madeline Byrne

Madeline Byrne, 81, departed this life on December 15, 2024.  A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Southern Pines. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Services. 

Madeline Byrne is preceded in death by her parents Joseph C. Machado and Amelia Farias; one son William Byrne; three sisters Bernadette Botelho, Beverley McCarthy, and Theresa Binnette; and one brother-in-law Donald Dootson. 

She was survived by her husband James Byrne; two sons David and James; one brother, Robert Machado (Shirley); three sisters, Susan Dootson, Rosemary Machado, and Claudett Cooper (Tom); three brothers-in-law Stanley Botelho, Chris McCarthy, and Paul Binnette.
