Louis Francis Hunter, 89 of Marston NC, completed this season of life, after many years of illness on Monday, July 3, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Born on December 13, 1933, in Springfield MA, to Wesley and Bessie (Frost) Hunter. He attended and completed his schooling in Springfield Mass. He enjoyed his life with his siblings on Monroe St in Springfield. He shared a humorous but special relationship with his brother James Hunter as the two surviving brothers.

His work life consisted as a Housing Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Springfield, and for a brief time, he was also employed at Moore Drop Forging. Louis served in the United State Navy from 1952-1956 and was honorably discharged.

Louis became satisfied with his religious life when he was baptized in 1977 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he served as an elder teaching and instructing those he encountered about his faith. He remained faithful in this service till his death.

While in his daily work life, he became acquainted with Ardella and her children. After a whirlwind courtship, they married on December 17, 1977, blending their families and they danced their way through the ups and downs of their lives devoted to each other.

Louis & Ardella moved to Marston NC (1997), to live life in a country setting, surrounded by peace, quiet and nature. His pastimes included fishing, hunting, traveling, working on cars, boats, vintage vehicles, watching the news, and watching sports. He shared a unique relationship with everyone he met, and he cherished each and every one of them. Louis loved spending time with family, friends, joking, and helping others.

Predeceased in death by his parents, Wesley Hunter Sr., and Bessie Hunter, his children, Kenneth, and Mark; his siblings, Robert Frost, Freddie Hunter, Wesley Hunter Jr., Jerry Hunter, and Shirley Mullens

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 45 years, Ardella L Hunter; his legacy continues with his children, Denise McNeil (Lawrence) of TX, James Lewis (MA), Yvette Spence of SC, and Katrina

Ward (Ralph) of SC; daughters-in-love, Diane Hunter of MA and Marguerite Hunter of TX, twenty grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brother, James Hunter (Alberta) of Mass; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, and friends. He also leaves his companion pet, Cocoa to continue to comfort Ardella.

Four words that sum up his life…Love…Loyalty…Caring…Humor
