John Rufus McKoy, 71, of Wagram departed this life on Sunday, April 25, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Purcell Funeral Home, Laurinburg. Interment will follow in the Spring Branch - Matthews Memorial Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021, at Purcell Funeral Home, Laurinburg. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Services. 

SEATING CAPACITY WILL BE LIMITED FOR IMMEDIATE FAMILY AND FRIENDS. SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE ENFORCED AND EVERYONE IN ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRE TO WEAR A FACEMASK.

He is survived by: two daughters, Melinda Monica McKoy, of Raeford, NC, and Tasha McKoy-Johnson (Tony) of Pennsylvania; one son, John K. McKoy of Raeford, NC; grandchildren, Nija, Shiquerra, Samuel, Nadia, Javiyon, and Alona; one great-grandchild, Takai; three sisters, Eloise Quick, Katie Ann McKoy, and Michelle Whitfield (Michael); four brothers, Larry McKoy, Jimmy McKoy (Vanessa), David McKoy, and C. Dwayne McKoy; brothers-in-law, Roosevelt McLean (Helen), John McLean (Beverly), James McLean (Jennifer), Christopher McLean (Vanessa); sisters-in-law, Mary Livingston (Michael), and Magaline McCormick (Joe); aunts, Dora Lee Mack and Myrtle Hough (Connel); uncle, Edward Miles (Diane); and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
