Joe Heyward, 81, departed this life on Saturday, December 23, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Union Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Hillside Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 1, 2024, at Purcell Funeral Home, Laurinburg, Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
