Frank Lisco Obituary

Frank Lisco, 79, of Pinehurst, departed this life on Sunday, December 18, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born October 29, 1943, to Frank Lisco and Cornelia Marcellino Lisco.  

Frank grew up in Fort Plain, NY where he played and excelled in baseball and basketball, he went on to Oswego State Teachers College, where he received a Master's in Math Education, and played sports (basketball, baseball and soccer). Inducted into the Oswego Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008. 

He went on to teach Math and coach at Lyons High School for 35 years. Frank coached at the JH, JV, Varsity levels, basketball for his daughter Andrea, and basketball and baseball for his son Frank and many other students. He started the American Legion Baseball in Lyons, New York, and spent many days and nights preparing the field and coaching thru the summer for many years to improve lives and mentoring players.  Frank also coached girls volleyball in Lyons, and went on to officiate girls and boys, volleyball, basketball, soccer baseball and girls softball at high school and college levels. He was once again inducted into the Lyons Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cornelia Marcellino Lisco and Frank Liscio both of Fort Plain, NY. 

He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Brand Lisco of 51 years; daughter, Andrea Tait (Jeff) of Victor, NY; son, Frank M. Lisco (Natalie) of Roswell, GA; three grandchildren, Isla Tait, Lucia Lisco, and Noelle Lisco; sisters, Natalie Conover of Scotia, NY, and Judy Bronk of Phoenixville, PA.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Frank's favorite Charities, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Make a Wish Foundation. A Memorial and Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
