In Loving Memory of Dwayne Graham
Dwayne Graham was born March 29, 1968, in Brooklyn, New York. He was the first born to father, Archibald Graham and mother, Ida Mae Graham. Dwayne spent his childhood in Brooklyn, New York and later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he graduated from Joseph Emerson Brown High School in 1987.
In 1988 at the age of 20 Dwayne enlisted in the United States Navy where his love for travel and exploration started. After completing his active duty and while serving in the United States Reserves, he worked as a cross-country truck driver. He eventually turned his interest in pursuing a career as a barber. Dwayne graduated from Brown Barber College and obtained his Barber’s License from the State of Georgia in 2002. He was passionate about cutting hair and perfected his skills on styling and grooming techniques. Dwayne’s clients enjoyed his kind-hearted spirit and jolly conversations. He continued his work in this career until his passing.
In November 1998 Dwayne welcomed his only child, son Fabiun Demonté Graham. He adored his son who brought much joy to his life.
Dwayne was always adventurous and loved trying new things. His love for cooking led him to start another career in the food truck industry. He purchased a food truck and began cooking delicious southern comfort food while continuing his barber shop business.
In 2007 Dwayne met the final love of his life, Robbie Lynne Burr. They remained settled in Atlanta in a home they both shared and cherished together as their love for each other grew.
Dwayne loved his family and would travel to visit and attend family gatherings in North Carolina and New York.
On Friday, August 25, 2023, the Lord called Dwayne to eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Ida Mae Graham, née Gilchrist.
