Allen Kent Kelly, 60 of Southern Pines went to be with his Heavenly Father after a multi-year illness on July 31, 2024. He did well and fought a good fight. He was born in Pinehurst on January 26, 1964, to the late Rev. Kent and Elizabeth Kelly. He was a true Southern Pines Native and loved his hometown. He had a deep passion for his community, public safety and security. He spent the first part of his career as a Sheriff Dept. dispatcher in Carteret County, NC and a 911 dispatcher in Moore County, NC. He was most recently co-owner of Harpster Security in Southern Pines, NC. He is survived by his children Nathan Kelly (Deidre) of Statesville, NC, Grace Buller (Huey) of Lafayette, LA, Ariel Davis (Noble) of Southern Pines, NC, and Bobby Gene Allen Jr of Southern Pines, NC. He is also survived by his Brother Kasey Kelly (Diane) of Southern Pines, NC and 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Annelise, Tannis, Axton, Levi, Wrangler, Hank-Everette, Joshua, and Ashlynn. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Kecia Kelly. The burial will be private and there will be a celebration of life held at 2 pm on Saturday August 17, 2024, In the Calvary Memorial Church fellowship hall in Southern Pines.
