Funeral service for Kenzie Williams, of Camden, New Jersey will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Matthew Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be one hour prior to service. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home of Laurinburg.
Mr. Kenzie Williams was born June 16, 1943, in Marlboro County, South Carolina to Roman and Bella McLean Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kenzie attended Marlboro County schools and graduated in 1962, from Adamsville High School. Kenzie was employed by Sonoco Trucking Company for many years. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed race cars.
Kenzie is survived by his wife, Jean Brown Williams of Hope Mills, NC; one daughter, Roma Johnson Durham of Charlotte, NC; several stepchildren; one brother, Grover (Laura) Easterling of Laurinburg, NC; two grandchildren, Quinton Johnson of Charlotte, NC, and Chicora Johnson of Upper Marlboro, MD; two great-granddaughters, Emeri of High Point, NC, and Jean’e Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. His hang out buddy was Mr. Lee McMillan of Gibson, NC; a very close friend Donna and husband of Mt. Ephraim, NJ.
