Karen Lloyd

Karen Lloyd, daughter of the late Neal and Vernice Lloyd of Laurinburg, was born on January 21, 1957 in Scotland County.  She graduated from Scotland High School in 1976.  She confessed Christ at an early age and joined St. Mary’s A.M.E. Zion Church in Laurel Hill, NC.  Karen worked at many jobs.  She was employed at Abbott for seventeen years, Scotland Memorial Hospital in Environment Service, and last but not least, Scotia Village until her health got worse.

Karen leaves to cherish her beloved memory:  one son, Antwan Lloyd of Laurinburg, NC; one grandchild, ZiYana Briane Lloyd of Laurinburg, NC; five sisters, Sharon Lloyd, Linda Lloyd, and Barbara Purvis all of Laurinburg, NC, Dorothy (James) Bethea of Maxton, NC, and the deceased, Bessie Mae Lloyd; two brothers, Cornelius (Gloria) Lloyd of Raleigh, NC, and the deceased, Neal Lloyd Jr.; a special friend, Charles McNeill; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
