Jimmy Devond McAllister

Jimmy “JimBob” Devon McAllister was born on June 4, 1986 to the late Annie McAllister and Timothy McKoy of Laurinburg, North Carolina.  He was the second oldest son of seven children.

Jimmy was called to rest on the evening of April 20, 2017 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Jimmy attended Scotland High School in Laurinburg, North Carolina.  As a child, he went to Bethlehem Church.  He had a passion for football and always made everyone around him smile with his funny demeanor.     

Jimmy was preceded in death by:  his mother, Annie McAllister; his father, Timothy Lee McKoy; his great grandmother, Betty Mae McKoy; his grandfather, Joe Patterson; his sister, Alexis McAllister; and his aunt, Lisa McKoy.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories:  daughter, Daisha Taylor of Wadesboro, NC; stepmother, sisters, Cristina Church of Brooklyn, NY, Lisa McAllister of Laurinburg, NC, LaTonya Brown of Washington, DC, and Ciera McAllister of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Jayquan Church of Texas, Zyquis Monroe of Laurinburg, NC, Timothy McAllister of Charlotte, NC, Duane Brown of Washington, DC, Norman Brown of Laurinburg, NC, and Erik Brown of Rock Hill, SC; grandparents, Betty Jean McKoy of Laurinburg, NC and JC McKoy of Laurinburg, NC; sister-in-law, Taimir McAllister of Charlotte, NC; brother-in-law, Rontrice Tyson of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncle, and dear friend, Curly, a.k.a. “Twan Davis” of Charlotte, NC.
