Mr. Henry Louis Graham answered his Father and went into eternity on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Henry was born on May 3, 1940 to Henry B. Graham and Virginia Arlether Graham. He was the oldest of seven children.
His early education started in the Hoke County Public School System. He met and married the love of his life, Gladys M. McKenzie Graham. He called her “Glad”. They were married for 51 years. To this union, five children were born.
Henry joined Center Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Center Grove Church was organized in their home.
Henry worked at House of Raeford for over 40 years. Henry was a loving and caring person. He loved working on lawn mowers, pumps, and cars. Henry’s passion was working in his yard and planting flowers.
He loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by: his father, Henry B. Graham; his grandson, Darius McDonald; his siblings, Sarah Beatty and Mathew McRae.
Henry leaves to cherish his legacy and memories: his loving wife of 51 years, Gladys Graham; two daughters, Vera Graham and Janet McKenzie, both of Raeford, NC; three sons, Angelo (Maria) Bratcher and Harry Graham, all of Greensboro, NC and Eric (Tasha) Graham of Shannon, NC; two adopted nephews, Angus Hines of Wagram, NC and Robert Hines (Karrie) of Henderson, NC; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Arlether Graham of Raeford, NC; three sisters, Vera Graham of Philadelphia, PA, Carolyn McLean of Raeford, NC and Cassandra (Frankie) Townsend of Red Springs, NC; two brothers, Robert (Henrietta) Graham of Lumber Bridge, NC and Lawrence (Priscilla) Graham of Hoffman, NC; one aunt, Mildred Rice of Philadelphia, PA; one brother-in-law, Roosevelt McKenzie of Red Springs, NC; two sisters-in-law, Helen McNeill and Sallie McKenzie, both of Raeford, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
