Charles Lindbergh Moore Sr., son of the late Reverend U.S. Moore and Magnolia Cameron Moore, was born on February 4, 1936, in Scotland County, North Carolina. He was raised and educated through the Scotland County School System. Charles attended Richmond Community College where he studied automotive mechanics and vending services. He was employed at Fieldcrest Cannon Mills – Mohawk for forty-one years, retiring at the age of 71.

As the son of a minister, Charles gave his life to Christ at an early age. He loved his church and dedicated his life to serving and ministering to others. Mr. Moore served as Pastor Steward for forty-nine years, retiring his role in March 2018.

Charles was an avid Humanitarian. He led his life promoting the well-being of others thru ministry, financial resources and mentoring kids. One of his favorite outreach ministries was blessing the youth of the church with his annual Christmas Gift Card Giveaways.

Although he loved fishing and sports, his expertise was gardening. His vegetables were sought after, and his collards were impeccable. Charles dearly loved his family and they will always treasure his love and humorous stories.

Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice Ross Moore, of fifty-nine years. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Majorie Moore, and Mae Gladys Mullins
