William Everette Moore

ON AUGUST 18, 2017 a call was given to William Everette Moore to depart his earthly home for his eternal home. William was born on December 1, 1970 to Margaret R. Moore.

Will was affectionately known by family and friends as “BoBo”. He attended Hoke County Schools until his senior year of high school. He graduated at the top of his class from Hillside High School (Durham NC) in 1989. He graduated from North Carolina Central University in 1996 with a double major in English and media journalism. During his tenure at NCCU, William was a member of the quiz bowl team where he made several television appearances and also served as a student ambassador.

William was highly intelligent, he was widely known as “THE SMART GUY”. He held a special place in his heart for his children, Justin and Tamia. He loved to travel. The most exotic place that he visited was Hawaii which he spoke of often. He loved conversation and meeting new people.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Fontaine Moore and Shirley Flanagan. He is survived by:  Justin A. Walker-Moore, Tamia G. Moore and Chonesa Walker of the home; his mother, Margaret R. Moore of Raeford NC, one sister, Yvonne Francis of Raeford NC; four brothers, Herbert Moore of Tacoma WA, Stewart Moore of Raeford NC, Bobby Thompson of Lumberton NC, and Emmett Chandler of Jacksonville FL; one uncle, George Moore (Blanche) of Raeford; one brother-in-law, Kevin Flanagan of New Jersey; his special niece, Margaret Ann Williams of Raeford NC; one goddaughter, Victoria Moore; and a host of nieces, Taescha, Brittany, and Shakeisha; nephews, Travis (Nakenya), Jamelle (Quanisha), Marcus (Yvette), Cory, Gerard (Yolanda), Gregory, Joshua, Taesean, and Taevaughn; and a host of  cousins and relatives whom he loved dearly.
