Walter Evans Armstrong, Sr.

Walter Evans Armstrong was born on the seventh of October 1952 in Scotland County, NC.  He was predeceased by his parents, Angus Armstrong Sr. and Mae Etta Leak Armstrong; and four brothers, Angus Armstrong Jr., James V. Armstrong, Wilbert Armstrong, and Joe B. Armstrong.  He departed his earthly journey on the first of March 2018.

Walter was educated in the Scotland County Public School System and early in life moved to the Washington, DC area until returning to North Carolina.

Walter leaves four loving children, Anthony Washington, Walter Armstrong Jr., Stephanie Armstrong, and LaKisha Armstrong; seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren to cherish his memories and to continue his legacy.  He will also be missed by his three sisters, Shirley (Robert) Watson, Ella Armstrong, and Grace (Benny) Watson; three brothers, Charles Armstrong, Haywood (Snow) Armstrong, and Ronnie (Evelyn) Armstrong.  He is also survived by extended family, nieces, nephews, and devoted friends.
