Sylvester Moody

Sylvester Moody, son of the late James Preston Moody and Lilly Belle Moody, was born on August 8, 1948.

Sylvester was born in Laurinburg, NC and attended Scotland County Schools. He was employed with St. Andrews College in 1985 and retired in 2014. He was a faithful employee for 29 years.

Sylvester loved to fish and was a great craftsman. He enjoyed working in his yard and was well known for having Fish Fries.

Early Thursday morning, February 8, 2018 Sylvester went on to reside in his new life of eternal and everlasting peace.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  his lovely wife of 46 years, Virl Moody; his children, Cornelius Murphy, Reginald Moody, Sylvester Moody Jr. (Danielle), Terrence Moody, and Preston Moody all from Charlotte, NC; 19 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren; his sister, Mattie Mae Sims of McDonough, GA; and his brother, James Thomas Moody Jr. of Richmond, VA.
