Judy Lynn Moore, better known as “Tank” by her family and friends, was born on November 8, 1960 in Marlboro County to the late Henry Sonny Pearson and Viola Pearson. She departed life on November 14, 2017 in Hospice with her family in Laurinburg, NC. She attended Marlboro County public schools. She was married to the late Bobby Moore.
Judy worked at Perdue in Rockingham as well as House of Raeford in Raeford, NC. She loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She attended Goodwin Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Amanda Pearson and Gloria Pearson; her brother, Henry Leon Pearson; her grandmother, Mrs. Lethia Staton; three aunts and two uncles.
Judy leaves to cherish the memories of her life lived: on daughter, Monica Moore of Laurinburg NC; three sons, Michael Moore of Gibson NC, Darrius Moore of Gibson NC and Bobby Pearson of Gibson NC; twenty-two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Sarah Gibson of Gibson NC and Shanita Terry of High Point NC; four brothers, Travis (Niecy) Pearson of Laurinburg NC, Johnny Pearson of Bennettsville SC, Shawn and Josh Pearson, both of Hamlet NC; seven aunts, Sadie Staton, Eula Stuckey, Shirley Staton, all of Bennettsville SC, Emma Spears of McColl SC, Lillie Quick of High Point NC, Sheryl Quick of Charlotte NC, and Hannah Quick of New York; two uncles, Leroy Staton and Hubert Quick both of Bennettsville SC; very special grandkids, Jhi’Quavis Malloy, Dy’Junise Moore, and Teleyia Moore; special niece, Donella Pearson; special nephew, John Pearson; two close friends, Don Cook and Wehenry; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
