Jerome Swindell

Jerome (Big Rome) Swindell, 61, was granted his angel wings on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.  He joined the Army in 1973.  He worked many years for Campbell Soup and Service Thread.  He was a devoted and loving man.  He struggled with diabetes for many years.  He enjoyed sitting under his car porch listening to his radio talking to his friends and family, watching his westerns and football games, and love eating his cookies with his diet coke.

Jerome was preceded in death by his brother, Henry McPhaul.

He is survived by:  his mother, Doris Love of Wagram, NC; his father, Danny Dupree (Milford) of Raeford, NC; the love of his life for forty years, Bertha Javis of the home; six children, Jerome Javis (Victoria) of the home, Doris Javis of Wagram, NC, Gwendolyn Bethea (Alan) of Wagram, NC, Tori Javis of Wagram, NC, Kumiko Javis of Savannah, GA, and Gerald Rogers (Lisa) of Raeford, NC; two brothers, Jessie Swindell (Valarie) of Raeford, NC, and Floyd Dupree of Raeford, NC; six sisters, Dorothy Swindell (Jack) of Wagram, NC, Olivia Campbell (Bobby) of Wagram, NC, Diane Love (Benny) of Laurinburg, NC, Marylyn Love (Kevin) of Wagram, NC, Delores Purcell (Alexander) of Raeford, NC, and Regina Gillis (Sam); special granddaughter, Tamiyah Anderson of the home; and many, many, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
